Hi Guys.

Quick question for anyone who has been through the process before.

My VR statesman currently has a bad engine and this week will be having the engine swapped for a 304 from a VS (went for a newer model engine for rego purposes).

Whats the process involved in updating the engine number with ServiceSA while the car is in rego.....I know if the car has no rego and the engine number is changed and re registered it usually needs to go through regency but can if the car is still within rego can I simply go into serviceSA and update the engine number?

I have a few bushes etc that are a bit worn and the front struts are due for replacement and don't want to get called up for an inspection (bushes etc will be replaced but after spending so much on a new engine/fitting etc they have been put on the back burner a little)

Anyone know the process in SA?

Thanks

If the engine is of the same capacity, and configuration(IE, V8 injected) and power, just fill in a form, and all done.

Just in case, check on the Trans SA website.
