Welcome to Just Commodores, a site specifically designed for all people who share the same passion as yourself.
From what I've read you fill untill the fluid comes out the fill plug. Then remove then reverse switch and add a further 400-500ml perhaps someone with a ve service manual could chime in please
VE runs the tr6060 gearbox not t56 like vt-vz modelsAre you sure the ve is still running a t56 which Is the same as previous generations .
Does anyone have a scan of the ve service manual for changing gearbox oil ?
Actually the early VEs are T56, the later ones (from 2009-2010 onwards I believe) are TR6060. I have recently bought a 2006 SSV 6 speed and I understand that it's a T56.VE runs the tr6060 gearbox not t56 like vt-vz models
Mines a 2008 and has a M10, AKA 6060. AFAIK all VE's have the 6060. Jack up both ends of the vehicle then it will be level.Actually the early VEs are T56, the later ones (from 2009-2010 onwards I believe) are TR6060. I have recently bought a 2006 SSV 6 speed and I understand that it's a T56.
Question for you all - everyone seems to say the car has to be level when you refill with fresh gearbox oil. If I have the front up on ramps, the fill hole would be up higher than it normally would be anyway (as the fill hole is towards the front of the gearbox). Can I not just keep track of how much oil I'm putting in and stop when I reach 4.4 litres? I have read elsewhere that 4.4L is the oil capacity for T56 Commodores. Can anyone confirm?
According to the VE Commodore service manual, M10 = T56. In any case, can anyone confirm the oil capacity for the T56 is 4.4L?Mines a 2008 and has a M10, AKA 6060. AFAIK all VE's have the 6060. Jack up both ends of the vehicle then it will be level.
Got a link to that? Because my searching suggests the M10 is 6060 and that all VE SS got it.According to the VE Commodore service manual, M10 = T56. In any case, can anyone confirm the oil capacity for the T56 is 4.4L?
