I've been watching this fellow's videos for years, he has some good tips on detailing paintwork and correcting minor marks.

Note the wheel spacers on the rear of the Porsche.

I used autoglym magma on the wife’s wheels today with great results.

I found it extremely easy to use spray on leave to dwell for a min (but don’t let dry) give it a quick brush then rinse off with water.

Apparently it’s safe to use on paint as well instead of a clay bar

Autoglym products are the shizz. Chemical Guys, Ammo, Mothers, Meguiars are all top notch.

I used to swear by Sonax Full Effect which is what all the above mentioned cleaners and many others are based on, a bit like the original and still the best.

I first came in contact with it 15 years or more ago through a HSV package of goodies that came with a HSV I bought.

It’s still sold around the world but for some reason it’s no longer available in Australia.

So I switched to 1Z Colortec Felgenreiniger which does a good job but it stinks so much I can’t have the container near the house and as I bought it in bulk I’m stuck with it for a while yet.

I have sealed my rims and I wash them every week which means I don’t get much build up and heavy cleaners aren’t usually necessary so it’ll be some time before I run out of the 1Z.

I have some Gyeon Q2M Iron which I bought to remove tar from the paintwork of a car when I had no choice but to drive over a newly spray-sealed road and it did a tremendous job at removing the tar without any rubbing so I may use it for the rims when the time comes.

but it stinks so much

Bowden's now claim is that it "no longer smells like arse".

I never used the old formula but would make an educated guess that I would have dry reached if the new formula is anything to go by.

The Sonax had a noticeable smell when using it but you could easily live with it.

I put the 1Z container in the garage with the other cleaning products and the next day when I open the garage door I couldn't breathe the smell was so bad.

Silly me thought it would go away but it didn't and after a week I moved it down the back into the garden shed.

I like the Bowden products I've tried so I will give them ago as well.

I use the Gyeon Iron on my wheels, and it works as well as the Colortec.
Went for the Gyeon when CCP was out of stock of the Colortec.
