well i think it was sucking?

me and my mate were standing out the front of work yesterday as a v6 vx commo hammerd passed with a real hissing noise... sounded a bit like a turbo spooling up but obviously it wasnt.

my mate seemed to think its some sort of pod filter that produes that high pitch sucking noise? does any one know any more on this topic, what it may of been?

Yeah that sounds about right being a pod filter, most likely the unshielded type making it illegal, then they wonder why the cops pull em over immediately wanting to look under the bonnet

Don't worry mate... we keep an eye on things here...loooool..... pod filters are covered in a few threads...but the bottom line is they are illegal unless inside an airbox.... and yes, they are noticably noisier than a stock filter...... :thumbsup: (woulda replied earlier, but had to hang out the washing...).............

depending on what he has done, it could be either 1 of 2 things

the pod filter, a good one, and probably the likey answer
but i also know if you run a gen3 cai kit on a echo tech v6 with a k&n air filter it will give a sucking sound
