OK C4 #3 has no wire so thats not it! C3 #6 dont count.

Whats a Rheostate C4 #8? Can that be a problem.

But the cluster will work (DTE) in my other V8 VN (which does have a statesman loom).

So now I'll draw up the wire layout from the stato loom and see if I can work this out.

It's gunna be just 1 wire......

If you want the REV to light up. Plug a green wire into C1 #11 and run it to the reverse light wire (LG) by the kick panel on the drivers side. (Light Green on the Stato loom).

C4 #3 on my statesman loom has a green wire comming out of it and would go to C3 #3 = low coolant. So thats all good.

The only ones now are C1 # 2 cruise light (white) and C1 # 3 Fog lights (Pruple & Red). All the reast seem the same. Stummed now.:bang:

Back to the drawing board.:supersad:

So if I plug my V8 cluster into the V6 car it works TDE shows. If I plug the V6 cluster into my V8 it works and shows DTE.

BUT IT WONT WORK IN THE V6. WHY WHY WHY.

Almost time for the matches and petrol can.:whistling

Dont know if this may have something to do with it - but the C1 #7 is still spare on the stato loom. The brown & white wires are in C1 #8 & #9. so I'm going to move the brown & white wires back to C1 #8 & #9. Maybe....

BINGO. Moved brown & white wires back to C1 #8 & #9

Why did I move them.. Hmmmm. :shooting: internet instructions:)

Here is revised pic of the instructions & wiring diagam I used for the VN. (dont move the Brown wires)

Only move the Brown wires to fit a VQ SII cluster to a VN. (C1 - #8 & #9 to C1 - #7 & #8)

Copied from the internet:whistling
