When it comes to entry level 12"s I'm a big fan of the Clarion WG myself. I think 300wrms for a single sub in an amplified system is a sweet spot. Others will disagree with me for their own reasons and they will not be wrong either. I just like around that number for a well balanced system that increases in volume in a relative linear line. I find at that sort of power, as the volume goes up, the door speakers are not over powered by bass.

Thx Tasmaniak, whats the deal with bridging the amp - (2-ohm stable in bridged mode)
Does that mean I should be looking for a 2 ohm sub, or does it not matter whether its 2 or 4 ohm?

Nevermind I think I get it now, lol
Bridging 2 channels of the amp, halves the ohm's that are presented to those channels, (decreasing resistance and increasing power)
so with this amp being stable at 2 ohms I should be looking for a 4 ohm sub?
hope thats right lol
