Almost lost my VX II Berlina to car insurance. I was driving around a corner in the outside lane at the same time a soft sided truck was coming around in the inside lane. He had a load of beer bottles on board and hadn't strapped down a pallet properly. I got showered in beer bottles. Did minimal damage - a few little dings in the bonnet and drivers side (not even hail damage level), but I made them claim it on their insurance, because f*ck you - tie your sh1t down properly, it could have been a whole lot worse. The smash repairer said it was a write off, but I wasn't losing my car so I took a cash settlement.
