Definitelly removable but the entire door trim needs to be removed to access the screws...

Yeah. was always suspicious of "Not removable - welded instead" advice, as far more expensive procedure than 'insert tabs'.

My SS came with that horrible looking glossy 'carbon fibre' trim pictured in images on the first page. It looks super fake.

2015 and 2016 SSV came with nicer matte carbon fibre look trim (pic. Below).

2017 redline had piano gloss black trim...

That is much nicer. My 2014 R8 has the same glossy grey "CFRP" as yours. Its not nice, but got used to it now, the suedette distracts from it a bit!
Good luck in your trim adventures.

I have the matt look, it's pretty nice (MY15 Redline).

The glossy does look pretty nasty in your pics, is it everywhere (dash, shifter, steering wheel, doors as well??).

Gonna say that getting a set may be a case of coming across a wreck.

In my car (2016 SS black edition) it is on the dash, shifter and front door trim. The rest of the trim is piano black

Hi Ron
Yes they are all removable.
I changed my fake carbon fibre calais ones to the black woodgrain from a cream interior series one calais.
Easy job, but the door trims need to be removed. They all just unscrew. Nil plastic weld.
I posted before and after pics on here somewhere
Ill see if I can find the post

I even changed the gearshift surround and 3 dash pieces. They are all available separately from Holden without purchasing the door trims. From memory the whole set is around $600 for the 6 pieces

So the door trim pieces can be purchased separately to the whole door trim ?
