Use the coat hanger trick to remove the headunit
install double din cradle inside stock cradle.
beat the (something) out of it with a hammer to get it flat again.
pop rivet the cage in and grind off the heads
Can you even get a double din cradle??? I have never heard of that before....
As for the hammer trick....I wouldnt recommend it....the last 3 cars that i have seen have all come back because some of the heater illumination lights have been blown (caused by the excess vibration from the hammer hitting the inside of the factory deck opening).
I have never needed to use a hammer yet on any vt's or vx's to get the cradle in.....I just gently squeeze the cradle until it fits in the opening then once its in place then push it back into shape.....
Much easier and less time consuming.....for everybody....
Hope this helps........cheers
