There are no Lemon Laws Within Australia...
Such were considered by Queensland and by an ACL review but not sure what the current status is regarding updating legislation. Seems nothing has been done as yet (government wheels turn very slowly unless it’s in relation to politicians pay increaes or their pension increases)
The Consumer Action Law Center produced this PDF which lists 10 examples and may be worth a read (I’ve yet to read it but will do at some stage as the 10 listed examples may be interesting).
Till then ACL is the only tool available to purchasers
