My v8 vx didn't come with Fe2 standard....

Really? I thought it was standard. I wonder if its anything to do with it being a ute and is standard on sedans? Or if I'm just plain and simply wrong? (happened once before... lol)

My vx is a sedan, no Fe2.
My ss is a ute has Fe2 standard ss its an ss.....

In all seriousness, if you do wanna drift ya vx ya gunna need to...
.weight reduction without upsetting balance
.strut braces and subframe braces to stiffen er up and give er some more "feel"
.Extractors and straight through exhaust, no mufflers or cats...but not too big...
.don't run a airfilter, just a bit of pipe off the tb down to the front bumper.
.remove ac and everything that goes with it.
.New shocks/strut inserts and some Fe2 springs front and peddlers sportrider lows in the rear
. The most expensive tyres you can afford front AND rear, and not too low a profile, a set of 18s with 235/40s work well.
.bigger swaybars, but not too big because you actually want grip, that way you can enter faster

Don't worry too much about power, its not power that makes you drift, it certainly does help though and your definetely not going to be able to hold angle for as long as a more powerful car or link corners or make bulk smoke,,, however you still will be able to drift like a sick Kent!!!!

you'll need mufflers n cats for back pressure, something turbo 4s don't need.
Also you need an air filter, pipe suck in bees, bees enter inlet manifold n cylinder bores and can cause damage. Also grass, dirt and small stone could be sucked in if there no filter.

The rest is true you need grip, formula D drift on semi slick tyres all round.

No mufflers or cats needed. If you don't go too big with pipes you will still have 1-2psi of "backpressure" which is all you need(without delving into the whole backprwssure isn't needed argument)
And don't bother with a filter, its a drift car ittl be right, you'd be surprised how long age will run without one, gives more power and induction roar, which is as good as more power.....
