It won't be a patch on the arse reaming you get if you smash into my E3 driving a car you aren't licensed to drive and thus are not insured for. :boxing:

Reaper

That's the thing reap, if the OP rear ends you in his fulllly siiiik charged VX - guess who has to chase him up for the money when the insurance company bails - you.

Toooo many of my friends are still chasing idiots up that didn't have insurance and ran into them etc.

People just go on and on.. He heard from the first person that it's:
A Big fine ($400 ish)
3 Points
No insurance

And if you get caught without P plates, that's another 3 points.

Simple, drive it and if you smash it, tough ****.
If you get caught, tough ****.

There's alot of people who don't get caught, but it's not in their name.

Do you realise how many other N/A cars are out there that would flog the pants off this supercharged Holden you want so bad. Buy another car, you wont be breaking the law (providing it hasn't got forced induction) and you will still have valid insurance...

The supercharged 6 is nothing special at all.

Are any of these N/A cars P plate legal?

Yes, power to weight ratio isn't a law introduced in NSW yet, so id "assume" this would be the case for every other state and territory.

Its a pet hate of mine, this young bloke (O/P) wants a surcharged v6 but the laws say he cant have one but, if he had enough money he could run out and buy a N/A BMW M3 that has almost twice the amount of power.

The laws are backwards

its 7 points and instant loss of licence for driving a FI car on your P's

It is 3 points, not 7.

Many supercharged V6's are legal on your p's with an exemption. There's a list of cars on the Vic roads website which have the exemption available and details of how to apply for it. Its mainly cars like WH stato, VX and VY calais and a few of the heavier models. I think the VT SS supercharged 6 may me exemptable too but dont quote me on it

No exemption. All turbo, V8 and supercharged Commodore/Calais/Statesman/Caprice are banned.
Forced induction is only allowed with a power to weight ratio of less than 100kW per tonne.

That's just the thing. I have insurance and an attack dog lawyer/barrister. I have no qualms bankrupting him if he's lucky or being financially ####ed for life. PM "thestig" if you want a run down on my lawyer.

rip the badges off and disconnect the bonnet latch

worst: you'll get defected for bonnet latch and they still won't know

but your f'ed if you get caught so whats the point

Yeah because a basic rego look up wont tell the coppers what car it is...

Anyway im closing this.

Im frankly getting sick to death of P plates asking this question.

Fact is, you cannot drive a forced induction car that isnt a diesel without an exemption form. We arent here to provide you tips to get around the law and we certainly arently prepared to give tips to people who want to share the roads with us essentially uninsured and unlicensed to drive said car.

In short, GTFO. God help any clowns that run up my arse on your P Plates in a Supercharged VT or some other peice of ****.
