After installing my extractors and cats I switched it on to here a massive exhaust leak. So I re - tightened all the bolts and checked it again. Still there! Turns out you can do up your bolts as tight as you want but if you've forgotten to put your oxy sensors in then it's going to leak! Felt so dumb after tightening the bolts right next to where the oxy's go and still not noticing.

Another one for today, installed Cam Bus alarm in the G6ET.
Went to test it, no noise.

Didn't install the siren......
Not my day today

Once working on Mazda 3 (fitting sport exhaust) I started to motor for some reason (can't remember why) and car moved and fell off jack stands. Anyone underneath would have been killed. Fortunately, noone was. Axle stands were stuffed, though....

Also other things.....

On VB snapped off a bolt on side plate on motor, resulting in huge oil leak and an aborted 2013 Motorfest. Also over-tightened fuel pump , pulling my bicep quite badly, and yes another big oil leak.
On VX first ever oil change I torqued up sump plug to the value indicated in gregorys. Next service - sump plug is so tight no tool I had could undo it. Had to take it to mechanic :(

Worked so hard that I forgot to drink, got myself a headache and threw up. A mate finished the job for me which was a couple bolts and a wheel.

At least once a year every year for the last 15 years... I grab the business end of a soldering iron.

failed to properly tighten the flywheel bolts after removing them from my VR4

Found out at a track day when the car developed a rattle! luckily I didn't loose the flywheel on the track.

Also not tightened up wheel nuts once.
