Black magic trickery that stuff!!!!

Is that common issue or maybe just a dud solenoid?

Research says it's a common problem but honestly this is the first time I've seen or heard of it.

The only thing I do know is that the design of the manifold changed, the early ones the ports were just open where as the later version has fine mesh screens over the top of the ports to stop any debris getting into them and causing issues.

Hmmmm. Been doing more research and has me wondering about this switch. I almost want to pull the pan off and inspect/clean ours now.

Out of curiosity I checked a local trans shop here in Auckland. Only NZ$186 I do believe it might be a Sonnax unit which is a good brand.

I see these on Amazon for considerably less.

Aursome vid immortality ,= recon this is eventually going to help me big time as well!

Yes I've had code 28 I think 4 times.

Mines different but now I believe similar cause/ culprits.

Bear with me a little long winded/ background.
Back in 2018 , maloo still a daily = got this code a few times ( but also got serious physical impact) . Did some research I figured the same solenoid manifold or very similar).
When cold would start but as soon as put into gear it'd stall= given enough time/ patience/ trying would go = a mech said it's your stall converter.

Transmission place said it's your computer = fault.
Different management from when rebuilt= don't want warranty ( out of pocket work)

= why I don't believe the last little paragraph.

This was the final straw ( for me with this as a daily)
And since then = two and one third years later = yes limited use = but not another event!!!!! = surely computer = corrosion = contacts = would be way worse = verious some random fault= hasn't fxxked up fault.
I'm guessing the stall converter solenoid = or they damaged wiring and just has to be in that golden = fxxk you position/ contact.

Hmmm,
Long weekend coming up. I might check a few things and then see about cleaning mine to see if it's a fix.
After reading the above comments and watching the video, I realised that upon takeoff in D2 it will rev up excessively before the first change (like starts to drive and then goes neutral or super soft on the converter).
Still drives sweet as in D4 except for the DTC light. Also DTC light comes on in D3 as well.
Reverse, D1 and D2 will not throw a light.

Oh, and also, since fitting my alloy trans pan (around 8years ago at a guess) I obviously have not been running a magnet in there. This could be a catalyst cause of my problem.
