Exhaust clamp type question

Hi

I have a VE but recently installed hsv headers / exhaust.

The exhaust has the ball/clamp style at the mufflers which I believe are also in the VF?

I don't have any mufflers so ordered some marriage savers for VF2 redline after a quick phone discussion with rapid.

Before I call them can someone confirm from these pics that its not fitting? I assume it should mate up to where I have drawn the red line and then the clamp goes over this area to keep them together?

Black pipe needs more flairing to cover more of the original pipe,obtain a ball clamp and it should tell you how much more the black pipe has to be flaired.
