Just wished you hadn't listened to Shane and that ridiculous method, which was never going to work at home.. His way has cost you money and time.

Anyway live and learn. The way forward is to slash off that bolt and fit your new one.

Get a thin curf blade and grab two. If it catches an edge it will fly apart.

I can't post a link on my phone. But a thin curf blade is a thinner version of the old cut off wheel. Bunnings tool shop will know what he needs. Also think Lout might have posted a link.

More important the OP should have listened to his Father when he told him tits and wheels cost money and both can be frustrating.
On another note if it is not too noisy drive it to work then to an exhaust shop to get it fixed

Excuse me, He said he couldn't get purchase on it because his jack stands can't go high enough. How am I to know how high he can get the car.

Also I said a hack saw would not work under the car, I don't see you brining that up.
And I said use a grinder but got toild he doesn't have one, I also never said to buy a chisel.
