Hi all just got a ve 2007 ss is there a decent rear muffler Change out to more free flowing to get a bit more sound ,with out drone on hwy ?can it be done to make it sound ok or do I have to get a whole exhaust system?

You cant turn a 6 into a 8 sounding motor, any system on a 6 will drone. Just get a twin out sports resonator if its only one side, not a twin. Ebay have them cheap.

It’s a 6 lt v8 twin pipes out bum just trying to work out if just get rear muffs replace with a more reflowing set up sounds ok without drone noise afterwards .

I have read that the Sedans don't have the drone, as the wagons do.

I had some aftermarket stainless rear mufflers (brand unknown)on my 07 ss sedan when I 1st got it and it was definitely an improvement over stock sounded good and didn’t drone but personally I reckon your better to spend a bit more and go for a catback system and be done with

Yeah I see that now, I thought it was a 6 cyl. I see those J pipes don't know if they are any good..
