It’s ground hog day in Perth. 15-ish overnight. 30-ish in the day.
Light winds.
Beautiful evenings.

And no rain.

How about taking some of ours? Got a couple of dams about to spill.
Just see it as another gift from the Eastern states.

Yeah, all you need is one flooded road & you're stuck in traffic for an extra hour or 2.

I think we deserve it after the shitty hot summer we had in Perth this year.

Here we go in Sydney again! Rain and more rain.
Fark - waiting for the Wakehurst Parkway to close. Surprisingly it's still open.
Will be a long trip home.
Im sitting in Rain(Lane) Cove, hasn't stopped all day just the intensity heavy then light heavy again. I was at Parramatta this morning and the river was bursting the banks again, even the ducks were seeking shelter.

Newcastle is a bit wet ............ Will the Knights and Dragons be playing tonight ? ( smart-arse replies from AFL tragics not required ;) )

EDIT .....Yes, they are. What a sodden mess. 50kmh wind and bucketing down. Spectators must all be homeless.,

I've got 2 Blue Faced Herons next to my pool at the moment.
They must be finding the lagoon and sea not to their liking.

I went through the records for rainfall in Perth. Early Oct was last time Perth saw any actual rain.

Anything in between has been 1 or 2 mm here and there which isn’t enough to do anything more than make the road smell nice.

There was a pretty big storm/s that went through around December or November. We got nothing from it but some parts of the metro area did. I dont think the city did.

I think we had some sort of wet rain a few weeks back but not recorded in the city. It was brief and dry again by the arvo.

September had a bit. But here we are in April. It was 36° yesterday where I am. 36° not unheard of in April. Not often though.

Looking promising for this weekend. Cyclone leftovers. Might get lucky for a storm. That’d be nice.

Normally March and April deliver more storms. This year the best we have had is clouds.
