They are compatible. The unit itself will fit across all VE-VF. Wagons, utes and sedans.
This was what i was originally trying to say.

There is an obvious difference when:
• electronic suspension is fitted (Luxo barges) because of plugs for wiring.
• the GT Sport is used for lowered cars.

Even those will bolt up fine.

As for the rest, there must be small internal differences that Monroe only know as to why there are so many part numbers.

so there was no change in how the suspension was put together between the years of the ve's and both the part numbers will actually look the same and have the same fitting on each end unlike the pictures across different websites show?

They are a bit cheaper than the monroe ones and KYB seem to be compatible across all year models also, unsure why monroe have so many part numbers for every model, unsure what the better ones are but them KYB ones would probably be about $50 cheaper using the code there

Probably because Monroe are American made compare to Japan, wages and cost of making them. Get what you want.

Yes.
This is mine just now.
You can’t see the part number on the bottom.

Having the same designed rear subframe across all models has major cost savings for production. It also keeps tooling and installation on the assembly line simple and efficient.
It’s all a very toyota like concept of assembly and production efficiency.

Back in the day utes and wagons and sedans all seemed to have differences.

Whilst there are differences in prt numbers the part is essentially the same looking and fits together in the same way.
