I have a small crack that can be pushed back on my bumper.
What is the best process or glue to stop it opening up please?

The crack is 30mm long and has only lifted one side a few mm.

Thankyou.

Not scared of giving it a go

only one way to fix it , pull the bumper off and weld it back up with plastic weld of cause , or just use plastic mend over the area at the back of it .

yeah what he said ^^

clean paint away from the area, plastic weld then flat finish with conventional body fillers, prime paint. youll have to weld from the front and back. alternatively theres 3M plastic epoxy kits out there, v cut open the crack and mix this stuff up and pour in. finish with body filler prime and paint.

With a bumper being flexible ( I grew up with steel bumper cars ) is it better to use parent material for the repair?
What about filling? Won't body filler crack? Or am I thinking 1980's body filler? lol
Off to local bush to pick up bumper to use as filler rod for my repair .

I'd use body filler for plastic mate.. Could fiber glass a patch in the back, do a v in the crack and body fill, sand and paint... That's how I've done my motor bike plastics and no probs with it in 4 years now
