I would have thought it would burn off?

Check the plugs. You didn't crack one by accident?

No, flat spots still there, changed the tps and it seems a little more responsive. Only 3 things left to check, vacume, fuel pressure regulater and leak down test.

I have noticed the fuel inst on the cluster cycling up to 99 then back to zero occasionally. Would a dead o2 censor cause a flat spot? I didn't change it because it's less than 6months old.

Surly a malfunction would set a code?
Flat spots are usually, if no codes, fuel delivery (leaking reg, injectors, hose broke in tank etc) or, dirty plugs, bad leads, weak coil, faulty CAS (hall effect sensor), dirty/broken dizzy cap, retarted timing, dirty throttle body and/or IAC valve, vacuum hose off or broke and low compression.
None of these things will show a code.
A full fuel pressure test, done with both the motor running and switched off (as per holdens service recommendations) along with a spark test and if need be, a compression test is what needs doing, start with the easiest, fuel, rule that out totally, then spark, then compression test as a last resort.

Re-adjusted the rockers today, they were all a bit on the loose side, made a big improvement. If one or two of the lifters aren't holding enough pressure, will that cause my dramas? Do I really need antipump lifters with a .471lift cam lt1 springs and street terra rollers?
