- 3.8 VY S Manual, ZB RSV
To get a comparison between my old VY 3.8 S and my ZB 3.6 RSV I've been tracking the the fuel consumption of both vehicles.
The consumption figures shown on the car display for the ZB are consistently 0.4 to 0.5 L/100 km less than the calculated figures using the actual fuel bought. The VY is consistently within 0.2 L/100 km. I always fill the tanks.
I know that you won't always fill to exactly the same level but the discrepancy is consistent, fill after fill after fill. It would be nice to get it a bit closer to what is being actually used.
I am familiar with fuel flow gauges used in aviation and these gauges have a "k" factor that can be adjusted to make the readings accurate. Does anyone know if there can be similar adjustments made to flow gauges in our cars?
