This I sold my modern superbikes after seeing how bright chopper spotties are a couple times and just kept my classics.

I can get around on a 26 year old CBR 900 running quad carbs , pulling tens and getting 8l per 100 and I'm complaining going I don't remember it using this much fuel.

Some of my EFI bikes I was getting 250-300kms from 15-18 litre tanks

If the sounds of :

Capable of 270+

If can pilot it 9-10 second pass

Cut 20% off your travel time if live in Metro.

Fuel economy similar to a Getz

15-30% of the price new compared to a car as capable.

Physically can't take fat chicks home from the bar no matter how much you drink.

Appeal to you , you need a 600+ 4 cylinder or 800+ v twin that's performance orientated.

After that as long as something's not on e85 , it is , what it is. Fear changes , tune changes or torque converter changes if auto may help.

But everything's an air pump fuel , air and spark go in , emissions out.

Add more air , naturally need more fuel and heat the combustion chamber up some more and you need to lower the ratio to cool the chamber.
Mate, l had a couple of CBR1000s
I brought one new in Aus and the other second hand over here.
87 and 89 models and the top end power was unbelievable.
The one that l had here was 30 years old but l couldn't get it into the 11s at the drags. It definitely had more in it. Hey and not being able to take the fat chicks home from the pub. Win win Lol.

I realise this is an old thread but I am seeing a 1,000k's out of a tank in my supercharged Calais (highway driving).
It is a stock L98 with GM 1.9L blower at 12.5psi (525rwhp and 867nm). It has a new LSD but running the stock 2.92 Calais gears.
On the highway it runs at around 5.5L per 100km!
I would have said your display must be faulty, but 1000km per tank would say otherwise. How the heck is that economy possible?

I have no idea, speedo is reading fine and I just did a 610km return trip which included 1.5hrs of sitting in 10-15km/h traffic and about 15 mins of hard driving and still had almost a third of a tank when I got home with distance to empty showing 290km's.

This is auto? Stock torque converter?

I like the fuel economy!

My daily is a VX SS, HTV2300 running at 7 psi, cammed and stalled slush box with 3.46 gears and gets 11.5l/100km on the hwy and around 25l/100km city

Power wise, full weight on street tyres the car does 12.4 at 122mph, or around 500hp/850nm atw, my constant 2.4 60ft is killing my ET, meh, it's a street car

I want some 2.87 gears for the rear, they would make 1st gear usable and improve economy a bit

What you need is this,

Really, any built motor needs this as first gear becomes useless when you have a lot of torque and some gears in the ass of the car.

How is that even possible? That is better than the 6 pot commodores and a lot of small cars. What does it use around town and short trips?
Do you sit on like 70kph on the highway?
