so just to clarify (spoiler) but Dontos gave the necklace to sansas because one of the jewels was rigged.

that jewel was grabbed by Olenna and she put it in his cup and Margaery gave him the cup. making it a 3 way set up. was very clever but no way id pick up on that lol

was kinda hoping it would be red viper

that's the way it's all looking and it makes sense when you remember that Dontos gave her the necklace and then wanted to hurry her away as Joffrey started to choke, Lady Olenna made a point of saying that none of the necklaces would do in the previous ep etc etc it was all there to see imo.

Highlight for spoilers (explanation of this ep).

Olenna Tyrell poisoned Joffery with the help of Dontos and a mystery partner. The Stranger, was delivered in Sansa's necklace. Dontos was paid to give Sansa the necklace because she wouldnt trust anyone else leading up to the events in the next episode.

The reason is The Tyrells have a firm strangle on the Throne, the Lannisters owe the Iron Bank of Braavos a shitton of money (aaand they always collect their debts, as told in the ep), they have the largest cavalry in Westeros and probably the largest army at this point with some of the greatest tacticians (Sam Tarly of the Nights Watch, yeah his father is a ####ing military mastermind who rapes face). On top of that, they are the richest of the houses at the moment due to the large debt the capital is in and they also hold the largest food supply. Unfortuntely, they have peasant blood. Even their claim on Highgarden is disputed.

Tywin knows he needs the Tyrells so he is willing to marry into them. Enter Maergery.

They dont want Joffery, he cant be controlled. Hes a monster and is just as likely to kill her as he is to give her a baby. They kill him so Tommen - a younger, kinder, more easily manipulated child can take the throne. Cersei has little interest in Tommen so Margery has a blank slate to work with.

Yeah Littlefinger was one of the masterminds. He along with Olenna, there is also a theory that Tywin knew all about it as well but didnt actually care because he knew he would end up like Aerys Targaryen. But its never actually confirmed in the books.

I wont confirm to much because Littlefinger has a massive role this season.

Also, as for Jon Snow. In his first bit, he is essentially saying, they cannot go out and protect the villages because if the Wildlings hit the wall, its all over.

When the Edd comes back (the rangers from over the wall) he says they need to send a party to go and kill the guys who killed Commander Mormont and Crastor because Jon told Mance Rayder that he has 1000 men at Castle Black. The Wildling Army is 10,000+ with Giants and Mammoths. if Mance finds the guys at Crastors Keep and they tell them theres only 100 at the wall, instead of planning their attack the Wildlings are just gonna attack straight away. But because Jon has lied to them hes scared them and given them some time.
