those astron motors are tough little smeggers ,my olds used to have an 1980 model sigma with the astron 2 litre motor in it, it hammered!

Funny you say that, we thought that too...
Until we blew the motor which was the 2ltr one lol in the other sigma.
But they are a good motor, we just treated the other one like absolute crap
