Getrag Manual gearbox scraping noise

Hey guys, just picked up a 2003 vy ecotec Ute and it has a constant loud scraping noise coming from around the gearbox area. Makes the noise at idle with and without the clutch in, any ideas what it would be ?

Drop the oil and check the mag plug. It sounds a bit like an input bearing. The whole box has to come out and be stripped for that bearing. The mag plug should only have metal slime on it, no chunking flakes or particles.

Make sure the bell housing bolts are tight too.

When the dual mass flywheel goes it starts making thumping noises under load so I doubt it’s that.
