you mean have I got a power source going to it? then no
the way I have it set up is tech 2 to candi module to diagnostic port

The tech 2 gets its power straight from the diagnostic connector. No need to use a seperate power cable. I assume it would still get power this way with the CANdi module attached.

yep it powers up fine just in the diagnostic port. what I want to know is why when I plug it in, I get a abs, stability control fault messages / codes, and sometimes a contact dealer message.

Shouldnt be getting all those errors if your simply plugging in the tool, the tool wouldnt be requesting any information, simply listening to the cars chatter.

Wouldnt be surprised if you got errors while using certain functions as certain modules may be told to be quiet.. causing other modules to lose communication with them and throw errors.

haven't played with it for a week or so, but pretty sure as soon as its plugged in it'll bring up codes. same as my HpTuners when plugged in brings up a contact dealer message and I think the others as well.

I am new to this forum, I have just purchased a tech2 clone it appeared to be working fine untill through trial and error it appears I have deleted information off the Holden memory card. I turn tech2 on and get

System initialising

RTC fail (in the list of passes)

Download mode
RS232 connection
elaps waiting time (and it starts counting in seconds)

Is there a way the existing card can be reprogrammed
or do I have to buy a new card

Any help much appreciated!
