got a new vl

Hey guys picked up an auto vl for 500 bux. When i sit right on 80 it sorta like revs and jumps back and forth a little? Any one got any ideas? When ya put ya foot down it goes straight away.and of my mates told me the other day that the pwr button on the autos doesnt work till they warm up? Because mine works fine when its cold?. Cheers guys

It's your auto shifting into converter lockup overdrive and back out of it as your sitting right on the change point. When slightly playing up. U cab either unplug the overdrive solenoid on the left hand side of the gear box itself. This means u will lose over drive but see if the problem persists

as nath said it would be your overdrive engaging and disengaging and with the revving and bouncing it is probably stuffed.
pwr button works all the time hot or cold.
on the vl's I have owned they usually don't go into fourth or overdrive until it is warmed up.

Yea it goes straight into overdrive when its cold, it seems like its got a killa trans it might be a little exhaust leak maybe. It pushes like 80 outta first easy

if the power button works when cold the auto trans will eventually be damaged
a thermostat is supposed to stop it working until everything is warm
