It can't hurt buying both metric and imperial spanners/sockets......

From crap memory the inlet manifold bolts are 3/8"

Sweet so ill grab some imperial sockets

As for the head bolts , can I use loctite 567 on the threads and permatex gasket sealant on the underside of the bolt , or does it have to be a actual threadlocker ?

I've used loctite 567 before and seems to work.

Probably just as cheap to buy a new kit than to by six individual sockets. Have a look at Trade Tools they are the cheapest for decent quality sets.

Do the work then change the oil. Up to you what you use.

I've seen mechanics use a bit of kerosene with new oil warm it while idling for 5 mins and dump it. I'm not saying to do that BTW just what I've observed. I questioned it.

Don't drive it with coolant in the oil as coolant is not good for bearings.

Guaranteed, with those inlet manifold bolts being loose, your problem will be the LIM gaskets rather than a head gasket.....

I wish it was just the inlet , but i checked im down compression in 1 cylinder and loads of exhaust gas in the radiator

I wreckon the lim gaskets were gone and i lost water and when it overheated it cooked the head gasket or worse
