Help! Side SS badge replacement

Hi guys.
New addition to the family here.

Name: Matt
Age: 23
Ride: My10 ssv ute

I recently purchased a my10 VE SSV ute.
It's has been de-bagged from the previous owner.
I have thought about replacing the side SS badges but having a bit of trouble with knowing the correct placement which would sit best? Do they just stick on or how are they fitted?
Also this might sound really dumb but does it matter which SS bases go on a certain side?
I have seen badges advertised for sale labelled as left hand side or right hand side badge.
I would have thought reading SS it wouldn't matter what side the badge is.
Sounds stupid but thought I'd ask so I get it right the first time.
If anyone could please help me out that would be great.

They are stuck on with double sided tape and LH or RH doesn't it matter guess it's a sales thing. As for location some one on here might have a clue or measure there ones up for you.

when you buy the badges etc, they come with a template I'm told so you can position them correctly

Oh right !
I purchased 2 genuine ss badges from a Holden dealer offline.
Received them yesterday with no template. Just some paper to pull off and stick them straight on :/

Hey guys,
Did anyone confirm measurements?

Would someone with a VE SS Ute be kind enough to take a photo with a tape measure or ruler against the side rear quarter panel badges?

I need measurememt from bottom of badge to sideskirt and also from badge to the rear wheelarch.

I have a VE SS Thunder and I want to replace Thunder with the stock SS side badges.
