High Oil Pressure

Over the last few days I have noticed my oil pressure is maxed out on the little gauge, its not when the car is hot or cold because it stays at the same level all day which is on the 5, normally it sits on the 3. Anyone know what may have caused this and is it safe for me to keep driving it with the high pressure. Im no mechanic, so I have no idea. Thanks

It sounds like a wiring or electrical issue if it doesn't change at all

I assume that pic is taken with your car running. Your battery seems to be low

Na just had accessories turned on mate. Battery is higher than that with the car running. Might have to take it down to the dealer and let them look at it.

i had a similar problem with my oil gauge reading high and when i turned on the ignition it would read 5kpa with the motor off.I found it was just the connector end of the wire touching the sender unit.(after market gauge and sender unit).moved and insulated the wire and works fine now.

Cheers guys, this was the problem. Had a new sender installed, $200 bloody dollars!

Glad to hear that it's sorted Robbo. They aint cheap. The first new one I got supplied was faulty. Took $280 dollars at the auto sparky to find that out on top.
