Mine has had it clock wound back by the dealership ( Currently dealing with them) But its actual ks are looking at almost 300,000 and its going OKISH it has had two Transmittion rebuilds on it, but that was due to doing 300,000kms in 4 years. Overall a strong car though from what i have found, That is flying blind and only knowing how the car has been treated for the last couple of months.

Two tranny rebuilds in that many km? Wow that seems rather odd (to me anyway).. from my experiences I'd expect to get far more mileage out of a gearbox in a car that was being used much more frequently and (guessing) having done a lot of highway km rather than stop-start in town driving or possibly it's been mistreated/neglected maintenance-wise.. but I'm certainly hoping that if I keep the car that I can get up to 300,000km on the original box without major dramas.

225,000 on my 06 statesman, some buttons are sticky but everything works. Engine is smooth and quiet. The 5 speed likes to hunt for gears at low speeds but doesn't seem to flare/slip. Original shocks were soft but that's expected.
The car was a private hire car.

Mine has done 275k and still going good, haven't changed anything major except the usual brakes, rotors, shocks, plugs.

With my 280k service coming up, ice always used 5w40 full sync but since the car has some km, should I go a bit thicker and if so which one ?

I just clicked over 310k and was recommended perite 5w-40 enviro by supercheap auto.

She’s still not burning oil and runs a solid 9.5 l / 100km

Still noting major replaced other than the chains and a starter motor.

I’m a final year P plater and am looking at changing cars soon (hopefully a VF2 ss )

If you don’t mind me asking what is the market looking like for cars like this with advanced KMs? And if you don’t mind me asking, what is trade in value looking like?
