Might as well tell them to stick it for that price. For that price your better off to buy the SV R8 black edition..
What do you reckon a fair price for up speced Redline is?? I did a rough estimate of what each extra was worth and considering that redlines are $60k+++ now, it seems on the mark. Others are buying Redlines and MSE's and modifying them straight up. I'm ok with whatever everyone is doing. It's their money and their passion. You won't find me criticising their choice.

I agree... $70k drive away for an MSE is a fantastic deal considering some of the Redline pricing of late.
For example...

VF Redline Sedan - A6 Spitfire MSE...
Sorry, but I couldn't disagree more mate. It's a personal thing. I could've afforded a new GTS or LSA Clubby. Love 'em both. But my reddies were only going on the MSE. To me, it's the Holden equivalent of the W1.

Have to agree here, I think the MSE is overall a better package than the LSA R8 and not far off the GTS for far less money, and far more special IMO. Mine won't be far off LSA power and it will still be NA. Couple of end of year tests put the stock Redline ahead of the R8, don't forget that.

There is no comparison between a redline and a GTS. Just the driveline alone makes it the better purchase. Then when you up the ponies, nothing breaks. NA just doesnt cut it these days power wise.

G'day gla, I agree, I ordered a manual MY17 Redline in early Jan with a couple of options and that came to 62K DA. When the LE pricing was announced I added the options the MSE came with as standard to the Redline price and for me the difference between the MSE and Redline was about 6K. Then adding the features the MSE came with that couldn't be optioned on a Redline like the MRC, floating front and cross drilled rotors, improved cooling, beefed up bushes, better seats and other improvements was the difference worth the extra dollars and the answer is yes, (MRC isn't cheap). You then have the fact its the last and best Holden, best sports sedan, limited number etc. Like one motoring journo said, the VF2 Redline is more than just the sum of its parts. To get a GTS with a ballpark price your looking at a 2014 model. By the way, what's the latest with your car?
