When I clicked your link, the first line of text below the pic of the engine stated the warning.

Okay didn't know that. The head casting would be different so getting a hold of some LT5 castings would work well on other LT engines.
I assume this will be the next cool mod.

Heads are LT heads, port injectors are in the intake runners like in the LSA.

I understand but LT heads are dry flow so have a smaller intake valve and different short turn and the port has a smaller cross sectional area.
They make the heads like that because there is no fuel in the intake charge.
If the LT5 heads are DI and port injection they will have a port more like the gen 4 V8's.

But I still think a gen 3 is a better choice than a LSA or LT imo. Gen 3 with a whipple or harrop blower is plenty strong enough.

If it was me.....
I'd be rebuilding/replacing the original with original.
OP has a CV8. Nothing like matching numbers when the time comes...

I agree but I did ask him why he thinks the block is a write off. He never responded which I'm finding rather rude but anyway he might be busy.
If it's just a bit of liner damage and a few small cracks in the skirt it's easy fixable and while you're there do all 8 holes in darton sleeves. If the cracks are small they can be welded if they're big the webbing will loose too much strength.

But yea most times the block is fixable and it will be a matching block and CV8's are sort after. Plus with darton sleeves it can take a 427 stroke and higher.

Jon Doc does a video visiting TKM engines in the USA and they sleeve his block.

Edit.

As with a lot of first time posters .............. ask for advice, then never seen again. No acknowledgements or further comments.
Or ....... a heap of abuse because they don't get the answer they think they want.
