Does anyone on this forum know what was left over in the way of engines, gearboxes, etc .... or was it planned so well that they used up everything ?
That is excluding stuff put aside for spares.

Everything goes to HSPO (Holden Spare Parts Operations), i assume. Part allocation was planned months in advance down to the last car. They had the build schedule set around March/April. This was planned with suppliers of course, so they had a definitive idea of their own production schedules. Provided no parts were received damaged, damaged, used for rework etc. Sure, there were few shortages, but all cars ran off the line didn't they.
