I don't know about VPs but the VT/VXs have a clutch grommet that is pretty convienient. As for the fuses just one fuse near the battery will be fine, though some people as put another between the distribution block and the amp, up to you.

I run a fuse near the battery, then a fused distro block as well.
You can never be too safe, especially when it is only an extra $5 or so for the fused block

ok so i run the 4 gauge wire from the battery to the top of the boot, Then hook that wire into the distribution block and then run 8 gauge wire from the distribution block to both the amps? will that work best or do you still have to use 4 gauge wire aswell. im still learning about all this stuff that is why im asking so much questions also after you put it thru the clutch grommit do you just run it under the carpet or where?

If your amps can take 4gauge wiring than use 4gauge wiring, a dollar or two difference at the most.

As for the cable most people run from the grommet to the plastic panel that runs from the front to the back along the doors, sill panels I think.

As for asking to many questions. No such thing as asking to many questions as long as they are good questions and you actually learn from them.

from what i've seen they use AGU type fuses, yup round ones. also, i'd use a fuse that is the same rating as the fuse on your amp. eg 2 x 30A fuses in amp, use a 60amp fuse in the distro block

Yep the amp earths should be the same size as the power cable, so 8 gauge each.

use an ANL fuse near the battery
the ANL fuse is a bigger fuse that slides into place
its not a round fuse but flatter
it allows more current to pass through without shorting and coz u have 2 amps more current is needed
and use the distribution block closer to the amps (less wire needed)
run the wires behind the paneling on the foot of the door
keeps it clean and u wont even know its there
keep asking questions
