thanks for that. So is that the older jvc plug? The guy at autobahn recons its the new type. not sure thats all they had. heres a photo of the jvc plug

JVC manual should say what wires are what, EG: Speaker wire coloring etc.

So basing it on that, I'd use the lower VT Connector, An start joining wires.

The colors on the aerpro wiring harness for speakers, I am unsure about, I've never ran speakers from a headunit. So i've never wired them up.

Should say on the aerpro packaging.

thanks, No the plug cannot be dremeled they are completly different.
The aerpro pack has nothing on speaker wire colours do you think ill just be able to go off this https://forums.justcommodores.com.au/threads/vk-vz-stereo-wiring-colours.14909

ok iv started hooking wores up but I'v found 2 wires which look like there for the antenna on the jvc plug (from my headunit) one is a dark blue and the other is blue with white stripe. The wire with the white stripe im pretty sure is the amp rem wire but it says power antenna on it aswell what is it for?

Cannot find a wiring diagram for your stereo, You'd have one in your manual, I'm sure you have enough information to piece together now....

Just have a read through posts, an stuff, you should get an idea what to wire to what.

iv decided to earth the earthwire seprate from the loom. Can I simply earth it onto the metal cradle that the headunit sits in?

ok iv started wiring up the loom although from the aeropro plug iv got an orange/white dimmer(illumination) wire, but on the jvc harness there nothing for it to go to. I'v even checked the jvc book nothing about illumination wire. what should I do about this wire? Also looked in my manual and seen a rear ground terminal on the bacl of the head unit would it be ok if I earthed the harness to this?
