Greetings from the 'murca.

December 2019 I was finally able to find the G8 I wanted, 08 hot white with onyx/red leather and sport package at a price I could afford.
She's got a few issues like....needing to replace the driver side seat bottom and some odd scratches on the side skirts... but nothing to serious.
mechanically she was ALL stock when I bought her with the exception of the previous owner only installing a K&N air filter... which was a big selling point for me.
clean carfax, 2 previous owners and no mods...

since december the only things I've been able to accomplish is a rear muffler delete and threw one of my own tunes on it, some little mods in the interior like flashing the radio for backup camera, modding the stock atari gauges, footwell courtesy lights, boot 12 volt accessory port, and designing my own interior accent lighting kit *last picture shows the front cubby lighting*

plans are nothing insane, just wanna do basics... OTR intake, dod delete cam, headers and full exhaust.
just a fun daily driver..
biggest things I want to do are little/visual mods.
currently looking for a few parts I'm pretty sure I can only find in australia, so if anyone here could maybe help me out on that... that'd be dope.

Looks good mate, what's the stuff you're trying to chase in Aus? Anything is doable just shipping is always a killer.

the main one I'm after is the rear storage compartment.
goes in the cubby on the rear of the center console, Found two on ebay.
One the guy told me the part he listed never existed in australia
the last one a friend bought for me a month ago and monday night received a message saying they had lost the part.

from what I can see in pictures it seems to have been standard in the calais, caprice and other higher trim options.

It's stupid but the fact that when imported GM just left a big ole hole in the console really bothers me, and I'd like to get the smokers package for it so the rear seat has a 12V outlet...but I can't find anything on those pieces other than some posts from years ago...

and another one from higher trim vehicles that I'm not even sure exists is a cover for the underside of the parcel tray inside the boot.. I saw some pictures of a caprice and it looked like it had the piece, just not sure what it's called to properly look it up.

VZ Crewman, VZ Cross 8, & ya mum.
You’ll be hard pressed to find a smokers pack in ‘Straya as well.

The compartments are easy to get.
Holden Calais and WM Statesman/Caprice had them.

You might find a Holden Dealership that has them on eBay. Allan Mance Holden would be one.

I got rid of the cigarette lighter in favour of a dual usb port in our Calais.

You can now buy flush mount Dual USB 3.0 and USB C 12v outlets that are easy to fit.
You can make a two pin pigtail patch loom to sort power to the back. Should fit inside the rear compartment.

Most base model Holdens here had the empty space just as the VZ before it did.

Calais V had the cover. Caprice is a different boot lid I’m pretty sure. When I redid my Calais a year or two ago, I added extra sound insulation to that panel.

Search “wreckers” in Australia.

Remis Chop Shop, 4Bloc, Aces Garage are some online wreckers that might be able to freight to US.

I'll check there, I can find them for for the VX and VZ all day but ebay is proving to be difficult to find the VE or WM.

Didn't even think about doing a flush mount charger, looked into them for my project truck but just ended up buying nicer anker chargers.

Just can't believe they didn't even throw in a block off plate, like what are you storing on that tiny little shelf lol

I Think we might be talking about different parts, what I'm looking for is a piece that would go where the speakers, satellite, and onstar are mounted in the boot, under the parcel tray....shelf....whatever that part is called.

I've got the weird fiber board? cover that goes on the inside of the boot lid

Oh ok.
I’ve never seen a panel that goes under there.
