yeah i sprayed it black then handpainted the letters.

however the V6 and 3800 were done beforehand and i taped it up.
if you were to ever look close at those bits you would see its pretty rough =P

so if i could ever be bothered i would now use this old cover i have (one i just took off) and just do the pipes part and tape them. then black the rest. then handpaint all the letters and numbers.
oh and i would use a syringe for the sequential injection part =P
as it could be filled up perfectly.

I repainted my engine cover the other day and everything went fairly good except when I sprayed the clear (VHT HEAT PROOF) it went very streaky

no worries.

and james i had the same problem.

it went on waaaay to wet, and just clouded right up.
pretty much only had to do 1 pass from a fair distance away.


however i found that wax/polish of the same oclour (my cars black so it blended perfect)
sorted this problem. just a tiny little amount fixed it.
and after having it get hot/cold etc it still hasnt shown up.

however one that was reeeally bad i repainted.

I was gonna paint an engine cover and turns out I don't have 1 if there is any way to fit 1 to a vr that would be good otherwise I'll have to get a vs engine
