How to start a vs commodore without the key

Can't I just get a key and key barrel off another vs and then get that key programed to my vs

Why not just get a key and matching BCM? This is the simplest solution.

The key will need programming is the issue.

Could get a key and barrel and VATS disabled memcal. Issue is finding someone who has done the memcal properly. Few people out there doing g them now.

No simple quick cheap answer without matching key fob/bcm/memcal

New key & barrel wont do shite...even with vats off still need matching key fob & bcm.

Look on youtube to see you if can program new keyhead for that model.

They can be programmed. I looked into it when I had old ute. Cost prohibitive though. I can tell OP the process, but since the cheapest route is BCM and matching key why would you complicate the job if car is just a skid pig?
