what differs from the holden e-series drive train and the corvette's? surely being GM they'd be able to look at some drawings and stats to modify the e-series drive train to except more power and torque?

I reckon the GTS should get the the 6.2 transplant only and leave the clubby's as a 6.

The problem with this is that they arn't making the 6.0 ltr anymore. Why don't they just make an 8 ltr :whistling

They wouldnt wanna add to the cost too much. Plus, its only a running change not a series change so to go to all the effort of a new diff etc... (the trans can handle much more than what the LS3 is currently offering so thats no biggy).

But plenty of guys are running alot more power through their E series cars without problems so its probably just an excuse. The LS1 started at 220kw and finished at 260kw so I assume we'll see a similar thing happen with the LS3.

flatter t-curve, does this mean the engine will deliver torque with a more even distribution than the ls2? or does it mean that the car will deliver 550nm at a lower rpm?

man thats going to feel like a massive engine.

its interesting that ford develop basically the same power from a much smaller engine though
