Great to see it getting some tlc, if you get a chance can you post up some nice pics showing the bonnet scoop for a bit of a distance, interested to see what it looks like :)

Finally got the car out over the weekend to check for leaks etc.. All is well- Runs very good!
Straight out of the shed and onto the road for some pics- needs a good clean!

Thanks guys-
Its not quite as good as those other members with full strip down panel & paint and motor rebuild cars but this is a work in progress. (especially on my tight budget)
Future plans: Manual conversion, motor rebuild.

Just bought my son a VY SS - cheap on gas!

Tips are such a personal preference thing. I have twin 3" tips, but I also like the look of the original tip. Re the powder coating colour on the rocker covers, I reckon when funds allow, if you get the other colored parts powder coated in the same colour to match it will look better. Lovely project mate, nice car :)

I heard that the oval tip was a part that the factory strokers had to tell them apart- kinda wanted to keep that part but I also like the look of twin tips (especially the carbon Remus tips)

Hard to see but these angled tips on my Daily Driver are pretty cool- just not as nice as the Remus version
