The immune system isn't perfect, nothing is. Autoimmune disorders come to mind.

exactly and that's the reason we are having this "pandemic" because people's immune systems are crap ...

What about it? Not everyone seroconverted. Seriously get a good immunology book and give it a good read. People go to uni for years to learn from Professors with PhDs rather than listening to random bits and pieces on TV or the internet.

Ermmmmm ... no. The immune system recognises everything that is non self. Get yourself a good immunology book.
Unless your a specialist in immunology and can state categorically that an immune system will recognise anything and all that is foreign and effectively destroy it, references to books mean squat.

Also be aware that before antibiotics, simple cuts and scratches on fit healthy people, while they were working in the fields or gardens, could sometimes cause septicaemia and potentially death. It wasn’t uncommon.

But as I suspect your not a specialist, ponder this: viruses and bacteria’s are foreign to the body yet everybody suffers from some illness related to them at some point during their life. Your statements are too simplistic, wrong in science and smack of zero empathy towards anyone who’s caught a cold let alone anything worse.

Not I’m not a specialist nor do I work in any medical capacity. But to the medical layman, it seems like your view is that modern medicine isn’t needed and we should let nature take its course as only the strong would survive.

Have I misunderstood what you are trying to say? Or is it that you missed your classes in empathy and you subscribe to some darker principles that only the strong survive o_O

I think that was a valid question.

Modern western society/economy works because we spend most of our adult lives working and paying taxes so that we can have decent life after retirement. In return for those taxes paid we can expect reasonable health services that look after us. When this existence is no longer possible and it truly does become survival of the fittest/healthiest than society will break down as we know it.

There are bacteria which are beneficial to human health and are a natural part of our body's ecosystem.
These microorganisms are grouped under the term 'probiotics'
Most of which are bacteria.

I wrote to Dettol Australia 2 years ago about the rising number of household products containing anti-bacterial ingredients.
Everything from surface sprays, wipes, hand sanitizers etc.

I expressed some concerns about the increasing number of these products, the 'over use of' these products on a daily basis and the marketing and advertising used to 'promote increased use of' these products.
I also mentioned this was in addition to GP's over subscribing antibiotics to their patients.

I cited 2 medical research articles about this real issue, the increased risk of 'superbugs' developing from this activity and the potential risks to humans if harmful bacteria evolve to become resistant to these antimicrobial products.

...never received a reply.
