whilst were on topic with p platers with VE's.. old man told me to show him half and he would match it. done and dusted

Same situation here. I wanted a 200SX or something similar, but parents insisted I get something that isn't 10-20 years old. So I saved up half which wasn't hard with my pay rate and the number of hours which I worked, but I did have to sacrifice my 4 months of holidays before I started Uni as well as work as many hours as I could manage in between studying for my VCE exams.
