I know what I was thinking.
Wether I wrote that is another story...
You've chosen to take me on here, so Ill spell it out:

Not buying it......do you think we are stupid? you were telling us that somehow its only country drivers that know how to drive large distances(specialised knowledge heh?) etc and the majority of fatalities were due to city drivers(on holidays) that were unfamiliar with the mystic art of driving in straight lines for long periods.

He never said that at all, he said 'generally' the victims are from the city when a crash is in a rural area. As correct as the statement isn't, your putting words into his mouth (post?)

I do 42km on a major freeway every day.

I've seen people overtake me comfortably at any speed between 150 and 180.

What I've also seen though, is that the 6:30-7:30am traffic on this particular freeway are COMPLETELY different drivers to those driving through the rest of the day, up until the 4:00pm - 5:00pm drivers where it's the same group of drivers.

Any time during the rest of the day and people are doing between 90-100km/h in 110 zones, and they can't drive to save their lives. Perhaps they should do their shopping at the LOCAL stores instead of causing fatalities which mess up my run home from work?

Nine times out of ten, when there is a major accident on the roads around here, its an interstate, or someone from the city.

It's a general statement. Just an observation I've made. Not hard statistics writen by some egg head in Canberra ;).
