Can fully appreciate how hard it is to do anything on the car while being responsible for small humans. Every few minutes... “Dad can I come out from under the stairs?” Or “Dad, how long do I have to sharpen knives?” Or “Dad, I need a poo” etc

Or "Dad, can we get out of the boot now?"

I am back to work tomorrow so will start writing up a step by step.

Huge effort !!
Now get a HUD windscreen ;)
Definitely looking into the HUD windscreen just to sharpen the projection up a bit, currently very usable though.

Guessing the double reflection is from the laminated windscreen?
Yes as it’s not a HUD specific windscreen nothing to do its the HUD itself, in the correct position it’s barely even noticeable.

Was tempting to make it “Dad can we get out of the boot” the youngest was asking what every plug and screw was and what it did and how that made the car work and why wouldn’t the car without it fitted etc.

nice work OP. every now and again i get a bit of double vision on mine and tbh i think it might just be positioning??? Are you able to adjust it at all?

also a lot of aftermarket units have those little squares that stick on the screen, maybe one of those would sort it too?

Just the standard adjustment up and down, I guess when the dash is out you could pack each corner with washers but hard to know how much that would adjust the image without having it on the screen at the time.
I was thinking about some antiglare film like you suggested but after driving it today I don’t think I will bother as the double isn’t really that noticeable unless you look at it for a extended period of time.

Out of interest have you tried looking at it the way it is while wearing sunnies/polaroids??

yeah not the standard positioning, maybe it's just not lined up 100% on the mounts?

It’s installed how it would have been from factory so I think it’s just the fact my car doesn’t have a HUD specific windscreen.

Be good if one could be added to a VE.
