Hey guys i want to change the color of the interior lights in my car from that yellow looks to a white or blue look but i only want to change the bulbs and not go down the LED route. Can someone point me in the right direction please?

I have a purple light in the car but when I switched to a calais roof lining I don't need it anymore so it's sitting on the shed..

So what is involved in going to LED???

Really i'm just looking for a cleaner none yellow light.

I went this way for my LED domes lights

I then visited the local model store and brought a pot of Tamiya X23 Clear Blue paint and just painted the SMD's for the blue look. I have photos in my garage, however the digi camera doesn't do them justice..

As above plus you can get wedge led bulb for the footwells.

One caveat with LED's as interior lights though is that they don't fade out as good as the filament bulbs do.
The LED's dim down from 12 volts to about 7 volts and then tend to flicker as the voltage drops below and then go out at around 6 volts or so.
Although i think it is a minor problem or special feature if you look at it like that...

Next lot of LED's for me will be in the footwells, may go either a single wedge LED or go with the SMD board again.

Then was thinking about these as my reverse lights.
