Friend of mine at work is buying a KIA Soul, he loved the fact it has a 7 year warranty. I didn’t know what it was so looked it up online and just confirmed what I thought, he has no taste in vehicles, it’s just fugly.

Inside a VN is not really bigger than a VZ and the VE-F has the fuel tank for the USA standards and the boot is not as good as a VN. what are you 7FT tall ? sitting in the back seat in the VE is only a bees whisker off the top of my head but a VN is fine. I just don't see the point of the VE being so big.

Got to agree with that, I had a VS from new, I think size wise they are great, about 1800mm wide same as most cars cars on the road today. The VS also had good deep boot with the spare wheel on the side (unlike the VT to VZ shallow boot with spare wheel under the floor). I had VK, VN and VP before the VS, all perfect size with 2 teenage kids and holiday trips upto Gold Coast from Sydney, never had any need for anything bigger. The VE/ VF is unnecessarily large to me. Another good thing with the older cars was also visibility, you could actually see out of them. VE/ VF is a fail in that regard, outward visibility is crap. On the upside the VE is a better looking car, I still have Poison Ivy VE SS and definitely prefer the look of the VE over the VS, but in it's day the VS looked OK.
