Is the V6 radiator cap same as V8?

My V6 is making a gurgling sound after i turn engine off, which a shorn google search has indicated it might be a faulty radiator cap.

Temp gauge seems fine.

Are they the same cap?

Different.
The gurgling is air being expelled into the reservoir. I’d be checking over for signs and smells of any leaks.
VZ-VF V6 use the same cap.

Air will need to be bled after filling with premix red coolant. Otherwise be checking the level in the reservoir after trips that will get the engine up to temp. Top up straight away. It will go down as air comes out and coolant goes back in.

Direct to radiator, bleed the system properly, run through a few heat cycles and monitor the level in the overflow tank.

And make sure the reservoir is full before you drive away.

There are 2 types of Coolant Caps for VZ and VE/VF

Spring loaded Type.

O-ring Type

Top one was early VZ. The rest look like the bottom one. Get genuine. 140kPa.

Most online stores have same cap for V6 and V8…..

How do I bleed the system?
