Totally agree but what has been said this week doesn't amount to much other than political speak.

Awww. I touched a nerve, now you're getting abusive.

Seems you're the one who floated the idea of grid scale batteries into this conversation. So I asked a question on it. It's not up to me to prove YOUR talking points.

But, just to help you out I went to the AEMO app and it says that in S.A over the past 3 months battery storage contributed about 2% into the states energy mix.

How is telling you to do your own legwork abusive? I never floated the idea of grid scale batteries into the conversation, you just assumed that’s what it would be as your narrow research/experience didnt think of anything else.

Like I have been saying for ages now, using lithium batteries for grid scale storage is retarded as your using a battery technology specifically made for high density and light weight (that is made out of rare/hard to obtain materials) for an application that doesn’t require it.

Aren't you always saying how much better off we would be with government controlled assets rather than leaving it to the free market?

Sp your saying your 100% behind government controlled assets now your lord and saviour Plutonium Pete has decided that it should be so?

Lets be 100% honest here, if a Labor goverment had proposed nuclear you would be screaming it down and decrying the government interference in the free market!

like, the whole world?

Reality is that the whole world is transitioning away for fossil fuels for good scientific reasons. But for some reason such transitions become politicalised. Maybe it is the vested interests in fossil fuels muddying the water?

Renewables have been getting built for decades now despite the LNPs best efforts to stop it, hardly just political speak.

How is telling you to do your own legwork abusive?

Or is it beyond your capabilities?

Just you getting unnecessarily pissy.

I never floated the idea of grid scale batteries into the conversation, you just assumed that’s what it would be as your narrow research/experience didnt think of anything else.

Ideally most storage will be grid storage (pumped hydro, grid scale batteries, hydrogen turbines, the aforementioned graphite blocks I posted a video about, etc).

I've again quoted your post. Bolded and enlarged YOUR words.

Maybe you missed it last time in your rush to reply? Or perhaps the calculations are distracting you?

Dutton was talking about doing **** 10-15 years from now, it's easy to say when he and non of the current members will likely still be in parliament. What he said was worthless, nothing more than a pipe dream and hollow promises he will never have to deliver on.

Now if he was to run for the next parliament on the platform of making Nuclear power a reality starting the next term with a viable costed plan etc maybe someone might take it seriously. But then, try selling it to the public.
